Get It While It's Hot!

This time of the year is a wonderful time to be out fishing! Warmer weather means increased insect activity and more importantly hot fishing activity. This weekend found members of the Team fishing both the Provo and the Weber. Although the rainbows are not yet spawning, we managed to tie into plenty of fish both above and below surface. The Provo provided for exciting dry fly action most of the day. Ryan and Rick tried a couple different sections of river that all provided fish. As for the Weber, we headed to the "usual spots" and without fail landed our share of fish. Jay managed to have the hot hand for the browns.

Ryan finds a hoagie sandwich to be lucky bringing in the fish.

Jay hooked into this great Brown.

The Weber Is On Fire

Ryan's ol man Bill pulling in a hard fighting Brown.

There are days where everything seems to come together. This was one of those days. It was another beautiful day on the river.
Rick put a hurt on the Tiger's.

Jay found this bad boy down deep!
Rick had the lucky pole today. He couldn't keep the Brown's and Tiger's like this one off his fly.
Rick got this with his secret hand tied dry fly.
Jay holding up a good Brown. Jay had his wisdom teeth taken out the day before. He is a hardcore! That is a true fly fisherman
Another nice Brown from our honey hole!

Our "Epic Day" on the Weber!

Ryan, Jay and Rick hit the Weber River in the past week. What an awesome time to be on the river! We smacked the dog crap out of the fish. We were fortunate enough to hit the river four times during the week. Between the three of us we managed to pull out 140+ fish. Lots of white fish, but we had our fair share of trout as well. Small midges and San Jaun worms seemed to be the ticket. As the afternoon warmed up the hatch was on! Browns and the occasional Tiger were slurping BWO's and midges.

Got to love the Tigers!

Team Cast -N- Blast

Well here is the start of the dream. My name is Jay and I am proud to be a member of the Cast n Blast team of outdoor professionals. A little about myself, I live in Brigham City where fishing and hunting are my passions. Fins and feathers are my forte, but thanks to other team members, the big animals need to start worrying about me. I love being outdoors and it much better when you have good friends to share it with. I hope you enjoy what you see here and welcome your input.

My name is Ryan, and I am helplessly addicted to the great outdoors. My dad taught me everything I know about hunting and fishing at a very young age. I have learned many things over the years building upon the lessons he taught me. There is nothing in life that can compare to the rush I get when I am hunting or fishing. I have had the opportunity to hunt all over North American with my dad. From Alaska hunting Black Bear to Canada hunting Caribou, but nothing gets me more excited then hunting Mule Deer right here in Utah. I want to thank my dad, uncles, and friends that I have had the opportunity to share many great times outdoors with. I want to also thank my wife Emily who lets me purse my passion for the outdoors. "Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it."

Hey folks, Rick White here. Just like my compadres above, I too live for the great outdoors. Alli said nobody will even read our dumb blog, but she just doesn't appreciate what we do. I think this will be an excellent method of sharing the great memories with "the buds". I love to spend as much time as I can in the outdoors whether it be chasing high country mulies, targeting rising trout in mountain streams or out in the duck blind. Come along with Team Cast-N-Blast as we bring you some excitings memories in the field.
